Lise B Moorcroft
is the grand daughter of William Moorcroft ,
she is pictured here with her father Walter Moorcroft.
William Moorcroft started work as a designer for the James Macintyre company in Stoke On Trent in 1897,starting his own pottery in 1913.Specialising in slip trailing and under glaze colouring he produced beautiful pottery, which has become very collectable over the years, with special pieces reaching premium prices at auction. His son Walter took over the running of the pottery in 1945 and sadly died in September 2002.Lise is now the only Moorcroft producing pottery.
